Western Specialty Contractors Completes Sidewalk and Plaza Renovation at West County Center

ST. LOUIS, MO, UNITED STATES, October 6, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Western Specialty Contractors’ St. Louis concrete branch has completed an extensive sidewalk and plaza renovation project at West County Center in Des Peres, MO, improving approximately 6,000 square feet of exterior space at the retail property.

Serving as the prime contractor, Western began the project by demolishing an existing planter and fountain water feature, along with areas of stamped concrete and brick pavers. Crews also removed and replaced existing trench drains before re-grading and compacting the area in preparation for the new concrete.

Western then placed and finished approximately 6,000 square feet of concrete to create the renovated plaza and sidewalk areas.

Completing the work at an active retail property required careful coordination throughout the project. Western worked closely with store management to maintain operations and access during construction. At the same time, a general contractor was completing a separate tenant improvement project for an incoming store, requiring the teams to coordinate their schedules and work areas.

The project began in May 2026 and was completed in September 2026. Western finished the work on schedule and within budget to the satisfaction of the project team.
